HOW OUR DETAILING PROCESS WORKS

At After The Suds, we make mobile auto detailing simple, professional, and convenient.

1

Choose Your Service

Start by choosing the service that best fits your vehicle's needs. Whether you need a Maintenance Wash, Interior Detail, Exterior Detail, Full Detail, Paint Correction, or Ceramic Coating, each package is designed for a different level of cleaning and protection.

2

Book Your Appointment

Once you select your service, book your appointment online or call/text 832-919-2743. A deposit may be required to secure your appointment. Deposits are applied toward your total service cost.

3

We Come To You

After The Suds is mobile, so we bring the detailing service to your home, workplace, or approved location. Please make sure the vehicle is accessible, personal belongings are removed, and there is enough space for us to safely work around the vehicle.

4

Vehicle Walkaround & Inspection

Before we begin, we inspect the vehicle's condition and note any problem areas such as stains, pet hair, odors, scratches, oxidation, water spots, worn trim, damaged paint, or pre-existing damage. This helps us confirm the service, explain realistic expectations, and recommend any needed add-ons.

5

Exterior Detailing Process

Our exterior process is designed to safely remove dirt, grime, bugs, brake dust, and road buildup while improving gloss and protection. Depending on the service selected, exterior detailing may include:

  • Wheels, tires, and wheel wells cleaned
  • Pre-rinse and foam wash
  • Hand wash using safe wash methods
  • Bug, tar, and road grime removal
  • Paint decontamination
  • Clay bar treatment
  • Hand dry
  • Wax, sealant, or ceramic protection
  • Tire dressing
  • Exterior glass cleaning
  • Final wipe down
6

Interior Detailing Process

Our interior process focuses on cleaning the areas you touch, see, and use every day. Depending on the service selected, interior detailing may include:

  • Trash and loose debris removed
  • Full vacuum of seats, carpets, mats, trunk, and crevices
  • Dashboard, console, cup holders, and panels cleaned
  • Door panels, vents, trim, and buttons cleaned
  • Leather, vinyl, and plastic surfaces cleaned
  • Seat and carpet shampoo if selected
  • Pet hair removal if selected
  • Odor treatment if selected
  • Interior glass and mirrors cleaned
  • Final interior check
7

Clay Bar Treatment

Clay bar treatment removes bonded contaminants that regular washing cannot remove. This helps the paint feel smoother and prepares the surface for wax, sealant, paint correction, or ceramic coating. Clay bar treatment is recommended when the paint feels rough, gritty, or has not been professionally detailed in a while.

8

Paint Correction Process

Paint correction is a machine polishing process that improves paint gloss and reduces light swirl marks, haze, oxidation, and minor defects. Paint correction does not guarantee complete scratch removal. Results depend on paint condition, defect depth, vehicle age, and previous damage.

9

Ceramic Coating Process

Ceramic coating adds longer-lasting protection, gloss, water beading, and easier maintenance. The ceramic coating process may include:

  • Exterior wash
  • Paint decontamination
  • Clay bar treatment
  • Surface prep
  • Optional paint correction
  • Ceramic coating application
  • Cure time
  • Final inspection
10

Final Inspection

Before we finish, we complete a final walkaround and inspection to make sure the vehicle looks clean, refreshed, and ready to go. We review the work completed and point out anything important, including stains, defects, or areas that may need future service.

What To Expect Before Your Appointment

  • Please remove personal items, valuables, car seats, documents, and anything you do not want moved.
  • Please make sure the vehicle is accessible and there is enough space to work safely.
  • Let us know ahead of time if your vehicle has heavy stains, pet hair, odors, mold, water leaks, peeling clear coat, loose trim, or damaged surfaces.
  • Weather may require rescheduling for exterior detailing, paint correction, or ceramic coating.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: clean, protect, and refresh your vehicle with professional mobile detailing that fits your schedule.
